Summary: Fingon contemplates change in Valinor


Fingon watched the new leaves just beginning to swell on the winter-barren trees. Formenos had seasons like Ennor had (presumably still had, East of the Ered Luin, even if Beleriand no longer did, under the wave) and the trees, plants, even many of the animals were different in subtle and obvious ways both. Valinor did change -- the wheel of a coronar, a sun-year, swift and variable, the slower dance of a yen, a millenium, an age -- as air and water, fire and earth interacted with each other, restless and mutable. But new-leaf time was one of Fingon's favorites, promising renewal.
