It all started one day when Ms. Jareau asked her class a question. The moment of silence that followed was broken by raucous laughter from the classroom across the hall. Further disruptions were curtailed by Ms. Prentiss's sharp scolding. The husky voice made JJ's knees weak and her insides gooey. The click of the door as it was shut brought her back to reality, and she continued with her class.

Later that day, JJ was in the teacher's lounge fixing herself some coffee when she heard that husky voice again. Shivers ran down her spine, and she fumbled putting her chosen pod in the machine. Gathering herself as she started the machine, JJ turned to find Ms. Prentiss standing next to her. She always thought Emily was gorgeous: her smoky brown eyes, the way her dark hair complimented her pale skin, her sharp jawline, and her prominent nose. But earlier, her voice had an edge to it that sparked something deep within JJ. The memory of Emily controlling her class prompted other inappropriate thoughts of Emily controlling her instead. Thoughts that were better left ignored. As JJ realized Emily was talking to her, she stamped down her building arousal and focused on the conversation.

JJ and Emily got along really well and saw each other as often as they could. They would talk outside their classrooms between classes and eat lunch together, sometimes in the teacher's lounge and sometimes in one of their classrooms. They even hung out after school and kept each other's company when making lesson plans or grading. They connected, and eventually that connection developed into a relationship.

As JJ got to know Emily Prentiss, she fell even harder for her. She came to terms with her sexuality in college, but no other woman ever made her feel so much. Luckily, Emily felt the same and their relationship blossomed.

JJ still melts at the sound of Emily's voice across the hall. Her girlfriend likes to raise her voice, knowing what it does to JJ. But now, when JJ goes home, Emily is there too, taking control of her even better than she does her classroom.
