"How nasty is it, ma'am?" Abigail asks.

 

Shannon replies calmly, like it wasn’t too bad, "It was kinda bad, not awful, but next to no sleep, some kinda brutal questioning, and some drugs. I've had worse, though. It's only 4 days. You get used to things."

 

Abigail looks at her, confused, and Shannon continues, somehow nonchalantly, "I had worse, dealing with StateSec. They kept the pressure on you longer, and questioned you over months, though they weren’t quite as brutal to me personally. It's not as hard to lie to Trenis's group, don't worry."

 

Abigail replies, trying to swallow her shock, "I... I need to think about it, ma'am."

 

Shannon replies, "That's okay." as Abigail prepares to walk off.
