On the way to a Squidbeak Splatoon meeting, Agent 8 snatches up Agent 3's hand.
"What are you…?" 3 stammers, caught off guard from the bold action.
8, peering down at the hand gripped in her own, states, "I was curious if we had the same amount of fingers, since the number of tentacles differs!" And then, retroactively, "I am sorry for taking your hand suddenly."
Fortunately for her, Agent 3 has a singular weakness– cute girls –and so simply mutters "It's alright." In response.
Agent 8 forgets to let go after counting the appendages. Agent 3 doesn't remind her.
