Oh, I still do, I just don't remember much anymore other than that it was fun to watch this show with my sister. :D Never re-watched after I was 7, and I honestly remember 2 things - an episode where an antidote fell down a storm drain and a scene where someone got eaten by ants. xD

those episodes are "D.O.A. MacGyver" and "Trumbo's World" respectively.
in the 'storm drain' one - he whacks a metal pipe against a metal frame of something to magnetize it so he can get the antidote back up (fortunately it was in a metal container); in the ants - sadly, he isn't able to save that guy who was a friend of his, but he does make a flame thrower to stave off the ant incursion for a little while =)

Thank youuuu! ♡ Your expertise is super helpful, and now I'm thinking if I want to re-watch these specific episodes to see how similar they are to how I remember them. :D I also find it funny and interesting what my brain chose to remember and what it just threw out (I did watch at least a few seasons of MacGyver, but I couldn't tell you anything else specific about it, while these scenes are clear as day in my memory).

MacGyver is s2e21 & Trumbo's World is s1e6 (the ep #'s i had to look up, but i knew Trumbo was s1 and DOA was in either 1 or 2 - i'm not THAT encyclopedic XD) i have had ppl quiz me about episodes before and i can tell you the plot of almost all of them (there are a couple that trip me up bc they're not super memorable and the titles aren't helpful). one time, someone tried to switch it up and give me the plot - funny enough, they gave me the plot for "Trumbo's World". and i'm like 'rly? one of the most popular eps? okay then.'

i had a similar experience withe the show "Emergency!" - all i remembered was one scene of a lady getting her big toe stuck in the tub faucet and the guys having to go help her out. it's in like s3, so when i was watching the series, it took forEVER to get to this one episode i remembered seeing part of

Your icon is SO accurate here! :D I either have or used to have a small handful of shows where I think I could do that (definitely not every episode both ways, though), but no one has ever actually quizzed me, so I don't know that for a fact. xD

:D I think there's actually a common thread here - we both remember the scenes where someone is in a weird dangerous situation (and I know in a show called "Emergency!" it probably happens all the time, but this one does seem particularly weird? xD), so maybe a kid's brain freaks out that this kind of thing can happen, and then remembers it forever to prevent it from happening to you in the future? xD

MacGyver is the only one i can do such detailed info for - bc i've seen all of the episodes so many times. the other part is that i had to chase down various episodes when i was trying to tape copies of them off the tv (this is before DVD sets were a thing) - so i needed to know which ep titles i needed.

that could be it - super weird scenarios that just stick.

I'm more familiar with taping than I am with DVD sets honestly, haha. :D (I kinda went from taping straight to watching shows online, with only a couple of years of DVDs in between.) My sister had the entire The A-Team taped this way, laboriously hunting down every episode. :D I was mostly just satisfied with not having complete series, but it was still an adventure even if you just wanted a few specific episodes and not all of them. xD
