Harvey picked up the phone with a sigh. "Why are you calling me?"

"Uh, because I need to talk to you?" Mike responded.

Harvey glared at the phone. "So you're wasting my time telling me what a phone is for? What do you want, Mike?"

"To tell you that this witness is being the opposite of cooperative because they don't want to talk to me. Saying I'm not important enough."

"You're not."

Mike sighs. "Fine. But, can you help here?"

"No."

"Harvey -"

"I gave you an assignment, Mike. It's your job to take care of it." This wasn't complicated.

He could sense Mike seething on the other end. "Right. And I did what I could. I talked to the witness like you asked. Nothing in your instructions said I had to convince them to testify."

"It's implied, Mike. It's what we do."

"Yeah, well, if you want this particular witness, you're going to have to come do it yourself. They don't want to talk to me."

"Fine. Give me an hour."

"An h- you know what. I'll take it. I'll just tell them to wait around for you."

"You'd better." Then he hung up.
