Summary: It’s the first time they’ve all been together, and they want to make the most of it.

"Hey, Jinhyuk!" came a familiar voice, almost too familiar, and Jinhyuk turned around, grinning widely and catching Wooseok in a hug when Wooseok jumped at him. "Good to see you!"

"Good to see you, too," Wooseok said. "Have you checked in yet?"

"Not quite, I'm in the middle of it," Jinhyuk said, turning around to face the young woman across the desk.

She slid the key cards across the desk to him with a smile. "Enjoy your stay," she said.

"Thank you, I will," Jinhyuk said, and stepped aside.

Movement at the door grabbed his attention from Wooseok's process, and his smile grew. "Jinwook!" he called.

Jinwook looked up at him and grinned, striding over like the soldier he'd been until just recently. "Hey," he said, and hugged Jinhyuk tightly. "Did you just get here, too?"

"Yeah, not too long ago," Jinhyuk said. "Just got checked in. I don't know how it's going to work, because in a minute the others are going to show up, and somehow we're all going to have to room together, so I hope you're prepared."

Jinwook snorted. "I've been more prepared for this than you have," he said. "You two are off on your own thing--"

"But we've been living in the same place," Wooseok protested, turning around with a keycard in hand. "We're used to having too many people pressed too close. You've had your own space."

"Sort of," Jinwook agreed.

Jinhyuk shook his head. "Stupid conversation. We should get out of here so we can--"

"Jinwook!"

"Too late," Wooseok said, laughing as Hwanhee led the charge into the lobby, the rest of the group right behind. Jinwook caught Hwanhee in a hug, teasing him gently about his longish hair as the rest of them gathered around, exchanging hugs and greeting Jinwook, who they hadn't seen in a long time.

Eventually, they got all situated, the manager taking care of getting everyone signed in, and then they went out to the beach, trailing their luggage with, to the largest of the suites the hotel owned. No one slept on the couch, although at least two of the beds were king sized and therefore had three of them in it, but they all fit, and they were all happy.

They all got settled in, and then changed into swimsuits and ran down to the water, ignoring the manager's yells to put sunscreen on.

Jinhyuk found it lovely, the sun on his shoulders and back, shouts of the group around him, waves washing over his feet. It felt amazing.

He hadn't lost his touch, either, dodging when Minsoo tried to splash him. With a grin, he went after him, ignoring the splashing around him until Gyujin tackled him, knocking them both into the water.

When he came up, he found most everyone else had been tackled as well, and they all turned as one to Jinwook, who hadn't yet gotten all that wet.

"Ah...." Jinwook said, backing up.

It didn't do him any good; half the group towered over him, including his vice leader. Within minutes, they had him dunked into the water, too, which started a huge water fight.

None of them lasted that long. They were still tired from the recent promotions, even Jinhyuk and Wooseok, who hadn't taken part. Jinwook collapsed next to the rest of them, ignoring the sand that would stick to them.

"Guys," Sooil said after a few minutes. "You know the manager is going to kill us if we get sunburned on the first day."

"What, you want us to wait until the last day?" Yein asked lazily.

"Or, you know, we could avoid it," Dongyeol said, raising his hand to shade his eyes as he squinted up at the sun.

"That's no fun," Changhyun muttered.

"You need to revise your definition of fun," Dongyeol retorted.

Eventually, Sooil got them all back inside, and Jinwook helped, because of course he would. Jinhyuk followed the others, watching them go inside, and glanced at Wooseok. "I've missed this," he said softly. "It's one thing to be with them in the dorm, but this..."

"Yeah," Wooseok said. "It's not the same."

They continued on into the house, enduring the cold showers - not too hard, it was warm right now - and joined the rest for dinner.

They had a week to play and work and have fun on a private beach, memories they'd cherish for years.
