Why has he been leaving me out of so many meetings lately? I thought we'd planned to stick together to the bitter end, even if it looked like we weren’t gonna make it. I saw the missile pods. I saw the super-LACs. I saw the SD grasers flash out of the Q-Ship. I still see their deadly beams flash out, time and time again in my nightmares. Win or lose, we were going to stick together.

 

He seems to not want to tell me what’s going on. I have no doubts that he trusts my loyalty to him. Why won’t he tell me?

I wish I could fill Shannon in. I’m sure she’d have good ideas. I’m also unfortunately sure that she’d consider doing something reckless for too long, and probably do something reckless. Just because I’m known as Citizen Admiral Cowboy, doesn’t mean I’m as reckless as she is.

 

I don’t see her going out without doing serious damage to the StateSec ships, if she could help it. However, the chances of her being alive, to see things, are low, to say the least. Knowing her, she’d take the rest of Twelfth Fleet up against them, if she could, and we’d probably win. We’d take losses, but we’d win.

 

Then, more StateSec ships would show up from Haven, and as we’ve used all our pods against StateSec, and to try to give us a chance against White Haven, we’d be dead. I’d like to do damage to StateSec, but I’d like to be alive to see the results at the end.
