Title: No Forgiveness Here
Fandom: Everglow
Rating: T
Length: 888 words
Content notes: They kill a vampire
Author notes: This came from my friend's insistence on seeing vampires everywhere, and Everglow's MV for La Di Da.
Summary: Time to hunt down the vampire who’d made them.

The rooftop their quarry finally stopped on was clear of everything but the rain, flat and dark, in spite of the lights of Seoul around it. Right where they'd driven him. Sihyeon smiled, her red lips bright in the shadow she stood in, and she saw the echoing smiles in the five other women.

"What do you want," the man snarled into the night.

Sihyeon stepped out of the shadows, her steps loud enough for him to hear and to turn around. Black leather wasn't... comfortable, but it made a statement, and this was all about statements. "What we want, really, is our lives back," she said.

His eyes widened. "Your lives back," he said, sneering at her. "What you have is better than those measly lives!"

"Really?" Jiwon asked, arms folded in defiance. "What's so good about not being able to see my family?"

"Or Yiren never getting to go home?" Onda demanded on behalf of her friend. "You never even asked us if we wanted this."

"Your wishes were never considered," the man said with a sneer.

"Oh, of course," Eunji said, striding closer - although she stopped at Sihyeon's gesture. "Which is why we will never forgive you."

"Your forgiveness is not asked for," the man snarled at her.

"See, that's the problem," Yoorim said, and he turned to her, not seeming to notice that the circle around him closed in. "You don't care. And we don't care that you don't care. But the other thing about this?" she added with a poisonous smile.

He turned, realizing how close they were. "The other thing?" he asked, nerves bleeding into his voice for the first time.

"We're tired of jumping to your strings," Eunji said. He turned toward her, a snarl on his face.

Behind him, Yerin stabbed down, the knife doing no damage to him - but it opened up the leather he wore, giving them an opening. He spun to glare at her, and laughed. "You think that will do something to me?" he taunted.

"No," Jiwon said. He turned toward her, and Sihyeon plunged the stake through the slit in his coat and into his back.

His eyes widened in shock as he spun to kick her away. Onda grinned and brought both hands down on the stake, driving it further into him. It wouldn't kill him, the angle was wrong, but they just needed him injured at the moment.

He staggered forward and went down. Eunji drew her knife and slit his throat, the silver cauterizing the edge of the cut, keeping it open. Then she dropped it, out of his reach, flapping her gloved hands because it had burned even with that protection.

"You can't," he gargled, slumping more.

"We can," Yoorim said softly. "And what's more, we are, and you aren't needed. We don't want you. No one wants you. You're a waste of space."

Jinwon drew her away, an arm around her shoulders, and they watched the blood drain out of his neck, the poisonous smell of it attractive and repellent at the same time.

It mingled with the rain, thinning as it went, spreading out and dripping off the edge of the roof. Sihyeon watched without expression as the man slumped further. He finally collapsed on his side on the roof.

Eunji looked at Sihyeon, and then at Yiren. "Got another knife? it doesn't have to be silver."

Yiren handed it over, handle first. Eunji took it and looked at Sihyeon. "Do you want to do the honors?"

Sihyeon hesitated. The man still held her eyes, begging with them as much as he could, still alive. She knew what it would take to bring him back to strength again, but...

It wasn't worth it. What he'd done before... it wasn't worth it. "No, thank you."

Eunji turned to Yoorim and Jiwon, offering them the knife. They both shook their heads. Yiren smiled at her, fangs out. Next to her, Onda did the same, so Eunji knelt in the cold, blood-filled puddle next to the body, and with two quick slices, cut his head off.

"He's not coming back from that," Yoorim said, sounding pleased.

Sihyeon sighed. "No," she said. "He's not, and that's good. It's a good thing. Let's go get dried off and watch a movie."

"What movie?" Yiren asked, following Sihyeon over to the door leading down.

"Not a vampire movie. Or zombies," Jiwon said.

"No romance," Eunji added, falling in behind the others, glancing back once to see the clothes slump as the body in them dissolved into dust that the rain washed away. Someone would come up and use them, even with the cuts in the back. They mend those and use the clothes. They were good quality.

"You're taking all the fun out of it," Yoorim protested. "What do you mean, no romance? Wait. What about a lesbian romance?"

"Better," Eunji said, and closed the door behind them.

On the street, they kept quiet, walking toward their place, their home. No one else saw them, no one else quite willing to brave the rain, even if it wasn't that bad. Maybe someone had warned them. Hopefully.

His blood had always been toxic. Sihyeon was glad to see the last of it, glad she-none of them-would ever have to drink from him again.
