This one was for the books.

Their first Halloween Party together had been successful, for the most part. Children, just like dragons and sometimes plants, were unpredictable. However, they didn't break anything. Valuable.

Neville and Charlie sat on the floor, resting against a bookshelf, enjoyed their last bottle of sparkling wine that had been left out. All the guests were gone.

Charlie was glad he'd asked Neville to move in with him. Neville was never demanding of anything more than Charlie could offer; he felt as if he'd truly been blessed by such a partner.
