Summary: The Pond household receives an unexpected visitor.

A half-naked man materializing in the kitchen during breakfast isn’t the weirdest thing Rory has ever seen, but it’s still more weirdness than he wants to deal with at this hour.

“Doctor?” the man says. “No, not the Doctor, they wouldn’t eat porridge. Captain Jack Harkness, and may I say, it’s a pleasure.”

“Rory. Williams.” Rory responds, because it’s seven-thirty in the morning and Harkness isn’t wearing trousers and his brain seems to have shut off. “I’m sorry, what are you doing here?”

“I’m honestly not sure. I needed out of… a situation, was trying to track the TARDIS because it’s been way too long, but wound up here instead. You wouldn’t know why that is, would you?”

Rory shakes his head. “Amy, maybe? Things tend to get… weird around her. I was a Roman for a while.”

“It happens,” Harkness says, nodding as though it’s unremarkable to have been a Roman legionary for a brief (or not-so-brief) period of time. He and the Doctor probably get along like a house on fire, Rory thinks. Then: Oh, God. Amy cannot meet this man.

“Morning, sunshine!” Amy chirps as she walks in. Then: “Ooh, who are you?”

Rory sighs. Goodbye, sanity.
