Summary: The numbers were not adding up

Joe sat at the table near the stage, the one that commanded a view of the whole bar, including the front doors, the door between the stage and the bar itself which led to the bathrooms and the alley door, and the nigh invisible door at the other end of the bar itself that accessed the elevator/dumbwaiter. He was trying to balance a very particular spreadsheet, and the numbers kept coming out wrong. He'd even resorted to the old ledger book, the third or fourth time the computer had insisted the numbers were correct, when they visibly were not.

Small errors in the cash register tally, the occasional oddity in his checkbook, those were expected, and usually easy to fix. A discrepancy in the Watcher's tally of Immortals and in-field Watchers was something else entirely. (Even accounting for Methos, and his own creative problem-solving -- 'Adam Pierson' was listed as he should be, with Amy and Torrance.) Joe looked again at the ledger, comparing it with the printout. What was the Other Methos doing there? The ledger had him taken by Culbraith. The computer had him alive (again). That made no sense. Even if it did account for the discrepancy.
