Larry the Cat sat on the pavement outside No 10 Downing Street and scratched his ear with his back paw. Was he mistaken in chasing off the fox which had come calling the previous week? If only he’d known it was after No 11 and not No 10, it would have been very welcome to take on the role as Chancellor of the Exchequer. Although the fox shouldn’t have mistaken 10 for 11, for who would want a Chancellor who was confused by numbers? On second thoughts, maybe it didn’t particularly matter. Come back Mr Fox, the position is yours!
