Jack watched as a clump of lukewarm oatmeal fell off his spoon and back into the bowl. He had been having déjà vu over his current choice for breakfast, while it may have felt like weeks, it was probably more than just a few minutes with Carter and Daniel always arriving together.

Maybe asking the cook to buy in more Froot Loops and Wheaties and less Oatmeal was one option, another was going off base for something hot at local diner and the absolute last resort would be to indulge Teal’c and try the avocado toast he had become so fond of.

Today he was leaving the food alone and sticking to the too thick, burnt tasting swill that passed for coffee around here.
