Kate stepped through the star-shaped portal carefully, her mouth hanging open at the amazing view before her. She was welcomed by a sky that was out-of-this-world vibrant. Purples, reds, and oranges painted the sky above. "Beautiful," Kate whispered.

America draped her arm over Kate's shoulder. "Wait until you see the stars."

The colors swirled in the sky above, leaving Kate awestruck and breathless. "This is amazing and oh, so trippy."

"Do you love it?" America's deep brown eyes sparkled.

Kate gave her a quick kiss. "I love it."

"What do you think about having the wedding here?"

"What, wait - here?" Kate looked around her at the vast hills in various shades of purple and pink, it was beautiful. No doubt about that. There were no buildings or any other hints of civilization. The world looked brand-new and untouched. "Would that even be legal, being in another dimension and all?"

America shrugged. "We'd do the legal part down at city hall and have the important part here."

Kate bit her lip. "What about all our friends?"

"Portal."

Was it really that simple? "I don't know," Kate hesitated. It was beautiful but it sounded like a lot of work. "Talk about a destination wedding, huh?"

"I think it's a new world, what better way to start our new life together?"

"What about the reception?" In Kate's opinion, dancing and food were important parts of any wedding.

"We'd have it back on Earth, fully catered and all that." America seemed to have thought of everything.

Kate turned to America. "It might be cool," she conceded.

America's face lit up. "I knew this place would win you over."

"It's not the place that's won me over, it's you, you know that right?"

"I know. It's nice to hear you say it though, Princess."

They lie back on the dark grass, a purple so deep that it looks almost black. This place was pretty amazing. The two of them watched the sunset and made out until the stars lit the sky like brilliant gems. "Yeah, this place is perfect," Kate said, deciding that a literal out-of-this-world wedding was just the thing they needed for their special day.
