Giles didn’t understand so-called information technology. When home computers had come along a few years ago, he’d thought they were a fad, one of those supposedly clever ideas that would never take off, because why would anyone need such a device when there were books? Now he was beginning to think he’d been wrong; it looked like they were here to stay, and he still didn’t understand them. Faced with using one he was confounded, floundering around completely out of his depth, while to people like Willow, a mere sixteen-year-old, computers were second nature.

Maybe Jenny was right and he WAS an old fuddy-duddy, too set in his ways to keep up with modern-day technological advancements. Of course, he wasn’t the one who’d uploaded a demon to the internet… Not that he blamed Willow for that little mishap. More care should have been taken in selecting the books to be scanned.

Still, computers and Rupert Giles were not a good combination, he found them unnatural, so what in blazes was he thinking becoming romantically involved with a woman whose life was so enmeshed with the fiendish things?

But Jenny was beautiful, exciting, and considered him sexy. That was reason enough.

The End

Love those last two lines! And you know, I kinda feel like Giles does about the computers about these new kids these days with the cell phones! LOL

Same here! I can use a computer, but I can't even use the most basic cell phone =/

Thank you!

My husband has taught me everything that I know about a phone. Which is very odd considering that I know work for a phone company where I run about 20 software programs all the time. And he can barely do anything with software on an actual computer! LOL

He has taught me a lot about the kitchen, everything I know about phones and gaming. He'd love to be able to teach me to chill, but I'm just not built that way. LOL But I am slowly teaching him about some very important things in life, like the importance of keeping a job. I have to hand it to him with this last job. They treated him like mess. Harrassed the tee total mess out of him, and he still wouldn't quit until he got a new job.

Sounds like you're learning a lot from each other.
