The first time he saw Dee wearing earrings, Ryo was startled.

“When did you get your ears pierced?”

Dee laughed. “Call yourself a detective? All the time we’ve been together, you seriously never noticed before?”

Ryo flushed faintly. “I don’t spend a lot of time looking at your ears.”

“That’s your excuse,” Dee teased. “I had ‘em done when I was seventeen. Don’t wear anything in ‘em at work, too much risk of someone rippin’ ‘em out in a tussle, so I only wear studs like these when I go to a club, but I’ve kept the holes open. Macey re-does ‘em for me when necessary. D’ya like?”

“Uh…” Ryo studied Dee and the glint of silver studs set with jet-black stones that graced his lover’s ears. “Yes, I do. They suit you.”

“Maybe you could get yours done. I could see you with gold studs, maybe set with garnets, or fire opals. You’d look hot.”

Ryo grinned, shaking his head. “I don’t think so, I’d have to leave the studs in until my ears healed, and like you said, they’d just get in the way at work.”

“Yeah, it would be a shame to damage your ears, especially when they’re so sensitive.” Pulling Ryo close, Dee nibbled and sucked lightly on a lobe, feeling his lover shudder in his arms. “Mm, tasty!”

The warm breath in his ear sent tingles all the way down to Ryo’s toes, and drew a pleasured moan from his lips before he managed to squirm free from his lover’s embrace

“Dee, cut that out!! We’re supposed to be going dancing; isn’t that why you got all dressed up?”

“How ‘bout takin’ the edge off before we leave?”

“No way! You promised me a night out.”

“Fine, we’ll pick this up later.”

“If you’re lucky.”
