Summary: Jake and the team were exhausted after another mission, and could do with a little downtime. Oh, and he's sharing with Cougar thanks to Aisha.

The OP wasn't supposed to be as taxing as it was. But as Jake followed his weary team into the quaint little Bed and Breakfast that Aisha had somehow acquired the keys for, he could feel what little energy he could muster leaving his body. Everyone stood in the parlor, surrounded by the musk and dust of the antiques, tchotchkes, and enough blue ruffled material that probably matched the hair color of whatever elderly matron had decorated the place.

Aisha handed out keys to Clay and Pooch before turning to Cougar. "Upstairs," she said with a nod to the staircase. "You two'll have to share." The smirk on her face conveyed that she'd probably figured out Cougar and Jake had an on-again/off-again fuck buddies relationship.

Fortunately for Jake, it was on again.

There must not be a lock since Aisha gave them a shrug, not a key, so Jake followed Cougar up the heavy wooden staircase. Their footfalls sounded throughout the quiet house, though Jake couldn't be bothered to worry about the noise. Instead, he was so entranced by how Cougar filled out his jeans that he barely stopped when Cougar came to a halt at the top of the stairs.

"What?"

Jake took a step aside Cougar and looked; Aisha had assigned them a loft area - completely open. The only doors were two that led to an en-suite (based on the colossal shower that Jake could see in the dimmed light) and what was most likely a closet.

Cougar's only response was a heavy breath through his nose and the barely imperceptible shake of his head.

"We could trade with Pooch," Jake offered.

Cougar's smirk was almost as subtle as his head shake. He took a couple of steps into the lofted bedroom and stretched, then pulled his hat from his head and tossed it onto the bed. "I call shower," he said, then slowly walked to the bathroom, leaving a trail of clothes in his wake.

It took Jake a second to come out of his stupor as the tanned flesh of Cougar's backside disappeared behind the closing door. He shrugged off the sudden chill as every nerve ending seemed to come alive. As the sound of the water flowed from the bathroom, Jake suddenly felt overdressed. He kicked off his worn sneakers and stepped out of his socks as he made quick work of his jeans. The material of his tight t-shirt felt good against his skin, the hem of the mostly-clean shirt rubbing against his nipples, pebbling them. He climbed onto the bed and was about to toss Cougar's hat to a nearby chair when his brain went a completely different direction. So by the time the shower stopped and Cougar reappeared in a haze of steam, a thin towel hanging deliciously from his hips, Jake was on the bed, leaning against the headboard wearing only Cougar's hat.

Cougar stutter-stepped for the second time that day as he walked out of the bathroom, as Jake appreciated the towel slung low on his hips. Cougar's nonchalant look transformed ever so slightly with a raised eyebrow and the hint of a smile on his face. And with cat-like reflexes, Cougar abandoned the towel to the floor and nestled on top of Jake, who found his hands pushed against the headboard. Jake couldn't help but smile as Cougar practically purred in his lap.

As he leaned forward, Jake's eyes fluttered closed in anticipation of a toe-curling kiss only Cougar could give. But instead of a kiss, he felt Cougar's hat lifted from his head. And when he could focus again, his throat went dry as Cougar, once again wearing his hat, raised on his knees to tower over Jake.

"Cougs?"

Cougar gave him a wolfish smile before he leaned down. "Don't touch the hat," he whispered against Jake's lips. And with a predatory gaze only Cougar could get away with, he stole the breath from Jake's lungs as they finally connected.
