The crashing of blades echoed throughout the house. Gomez charged forward, but Morticia beat him back. She was fast, fierce, and the person who had taught him second most about fencing. He had been well equipped with a blade before he had first met his wife, but she had taught him that it was much more than just jousting. It was a passion, and he loved fencing with her. He loved combatting her, and each side made his blood run higher until at last she let him win.
He knew she was allowing him to gain the upper hand even as he tossed her blade out of her grip. He had seen Morticia fight. He had seen how fiesty his lady love could be and knew that, in a real battle, she stopped at nothing to win. She had had to fight for his hand one time in their lives. He's never made that mistake again, never once wasted a second with her since that fine night when he had realized just what a ravishing, dynamic beauty he had been blessed to call his.
They had seen a great many changes in their lifetime. They had watched the world go from hating and fearing to them to hating and fearing each other all because they did not have a silly strip of paper on their faces. Humans were silly, and Gomez was glad to have ample reason to stay away from the office and at home. He was even more glad to still, after all these years, be able to claim this wonderful, dark Queen as his own.
He tossed his own sword aside, grabbed his wife's pale hand, and pulled her into his arms. He ravished her with kisses that grew hotter and heavier as she moaned to him in French. Idlly, he wondered how much things had changed since 1606 in early France -- the French certainly could no more have imagined what has become of their world than they would have imagined only ten years earlier all the changes that had come with this most recent plague. The humans really were silly beasts, though, acting like this was the first deadly plague ever visited upon mankind. He wondered who had invented it and how great a culling it would take on the human species. It didn't matter, not really; there would always be plenty more humans to take the places of all those who failed, rather it was by the disease or any other thing.
it didn't matter at all to Gomez regardless. All that mattered was within his home right now. Grandmama was cooking up a feast in the kitchen while the kids played with Fester, Thing, and Lurch on the train set. His gorgeous wife was in his arms, waiting to be ravished. His family was home, and safe, and that was all that mattered. Let the world have their plagues and their problems. He had had everything he needed right here in this baying, haunted halls.
"Gomez?" Morticia asked, her black lips drawn downward into a seductive pout.
"Ah, forgive me, mi cara mia! I was just thinking!"
"What a dangerous thing to do," she said, still with that same lusciousc pout on her full lips.
"Ah, yes, I know, 'Tish. I shouldn't be thinking so much. It's dangerous for a chap, might burn out my brain. But I can't help it!"
"What were you thinking about?" she asked.
"How lucky I am," he replied and instantly went back to kissing her. He whisked her up and paused only a moment before carrying her toward their Bed of Nails. The pain he would give his wife would be luxurious and make her cry out for more, and all other pains, they would keep far locked away from here in the safety of their ancestral home, far away from humans and all the dangers and horrors they could, and would if given the opportunity, bring.
