The night is dark, and she is a terror. Rather a redundant statement – both states, after all, never much vary, night being defined by the absence of light and Katerina, well. Katerina is as Katerina is.

Katarina is as bare as the day she was born, if lacking a coating of fluid and blood and all the other associated messiness of birth. It’s hardly as if the two states are mutually exclusive – she herself has proved otherwise on multiple occasions. Still, natural or otherwise, she is hardly in a state to go about in society, and not at all pleased about the fact. And she refuses to pick an outfit off the street. For all their vaunted history, the inhabitants of this town's idea of acceptable appearance is at a complete disconnect with objective reality.

Raiding the Salvatore's attic it is, then. They are the cause of her current state, after all, and she is hardly going to pass up taking an eye for an eye.
