Solace:

Fives wakes up and for a moment he thinks he’s on Rishi. He wants to yell a warning about eels to Cutup and wants to drag Hevy out of the station. Except that was so long ago. Echo’s dead. He saw Echo die in front of him.

Tup covers them both with the blanket Fives kicked away in his nightmare. He pats at Fives sleepily, offering comfort. Fives turns. Tup’s eyes aren’t open as he reminds Fives they’re in hyperspace, what battle they just won, and what planet they’re heading to.

Fives kisses him. “I’m okay, go back to sleep.”
