Summary: Caranthir, teacher and student

Caranthir was surprisingly good at teaching, as long as his students were either old enough to learn by choice, or very young. He did not take apprentices, preferring to impart specific in short sessions — a workshop here, an impromptu single demonstration there, once a series of illustrated letters over a span of years, trading color-theory and practical design ideas. In Beleriand, he found Men surprisingly easy both to teach and learn from, short-lived though they were. But Dwarves were a delight, because they would both argue from their own interesting perspective, and learn his, rewarding and challenging all at once.
