Vette finally pops the question in the cantina two blocks from Kaas city's gate. She wants privacy, obviously - roughly egalitarian when they interact, but so far when around others stands and is as quite as can manage, and is Sith, on Sith planet (second Sith planet, this one more Empire than Sith-y) - a slave asking to be given their freedom is not historically received well.

Not that she is asking that. Not her freedom. Knows how well that would go down. With Baras, at the very least, after being given. Just a freedom.

Just an escape from the constant threat of electricity at push of button. As opposed to whatever force magic is used to do same thing. She's looking for small victories, here.

Vette had wanted to wait for actual privacy, but it's not like the Sithling has their own ship. And from what she's seen so far, they won't make too much of a scene in public. Won't make one of her. Unless it serves some greater purpose, but try as she might (and Vette is mostly trying not to, because her master isn't what people would call mad, like some, but they can be disturbingly inventive) she can't think of any that would.
