Summary: Nadine has an injured partner, and no supplies.


They have no supplies. What the water didn't take, Asav's men stripped, and what Asav's men didn't remove went up with the jeep. So Nadine is in the guts of an underground waterway attached to a city sacked hundreds of years ago, with an unconscious Frazer and no supplies to do anything about it.

It - she's not helpless. She knows first aid, and more than, enough to keep the wounded alive until medevac arrives to get them away, but that was when she was Shoreline, and this is now, and Nadine doesn't have any antiseptics, or neck support, or - or anything.

Nadine grabs a lungful of air, and holds it trapped under her ribs until her blood settles into strained vigilance.

Frazer isn't choking. Her airway is clear, her breathing is even. First instinct is to get her into the recovery position, but there's no way of knowing Chloe has no spinal injuries to go with her scattering of scrapes and reddening bruises. The fall had been - it had taken Nadine five minutes to scramble down the drop after her.

Internal bleeding, cracked ribs - she can't do anything about those, if the injuries exist.

So she'll keep watch, and keep her still, and wait. There's nothing to do but wait and hope for Chloe to wake.

Nothing but - well.

Kissing to make it better does nothing. It's childish. She does it anyway.
