Lan Sizhui does not mind the shadows.

He knows that sets him apart from other disciples, but he finds comfort in darkened corners and walking through the night. These shadows, they wrap themselves around his heart and squeeze until he can feel nothing but comfort and a deep sense of fondness that brings a smile to his face.

For a time, he grew up surrounded by shadows. By their embrace, their laughter, their red eyes shining through darkness.
