Quistis wasn't sure if this was normal.

The crush on Squall at least made sense. She'd known him even longer than she had realized, which explained why she felt at home around him. He could be so aloof, and she liked to think she could see through it, that he didn't want anyone to know how affected he was by things. Of course, the entire business in the training center had put that into question, but... well. She'd been wrong more than once in her life. Still, even after he'd rebuffed her - which she'd honestly deserved, she'd tried to use her status to push him into something he hadn't been ready for - she still wanted to help him as much as she could. That was normal enough, she guessed.

Rinoa, though... Quistis had been entranced by her almost since the first time they had met face to face. And it was weird, because... because she still liked Squall, because she still wanted to get his attention even if it wasn't necessarily in a romantic sense, but she liked Rinoa too, even though she clearly had her own feelings for Squall.

She'd always thought that if she had a crush on one person, she couldn't have another. It was just how people were. And having a crush on two people who were interested in each other? That was even weirder. What was she supposed to say - she wanted to kiss them? Hold their hands? What would someone even say to that?

Rinoa was the first to notice, of course. And Quistis would never know what she said to Squall to get him to agree with any of this. But now... she's lying in bed between them, held down by their combined weight. And she's all right with it.
