Summary: Elwing on Vingilot, after Sirion



Vingilot had a hold — of course she had a hold, built to sail the deep seas, not just the coastal waters — with sleeping spaces for the four crew and a guest or two, supply storage, rope locker, storm galley, weapons locker and so forth. Elwing had seen all of it before of course, had sailed a day up the coast and another back down, before the boys and once with them. But she had never lived on her. Never slept in one of those bunks, cooked in that small galley. Now she and Earendil were what she had of home.
