There are some really interesting textures in there. I'm sure this is either a very boring question, or a very "Hmm, how do I pick the right words" question, but could you give a brief run-down on your technique here?

Hi, thanks for your comment. There's no easy way to describe my "style" which is basically using the base art (the two figures) and then saving several copies. Using the filter features available online on sites like pixlr.com or befunky & then merging those layers on photoshop to get a final product. There's nothing original about my work, lol, it's basically being half way decent at recognizing colour.

Haha, I kind of figured that some kind of patterns were involved in your method. Thanks for taking the time to answer my question! That's the basic answer I was hoping for - I'm sure the exact details are more complicated and involve a lot of what "felt right" at the time. But don't talk yourself down! There are plenty of artists doing collage and stuff from pre-made materials, which is essentially what filters etc. are.

I think you've achieved some very interesting textures with your blending/merging. Like the border around your two figures looks like crumpled/folded paper in places, and just the combination of the tile-look on their clothing and the way their hair has more of a "painted" look is visually interesting.

And, like Ira Glass said "...all of us who do creative work, we get into it because we have good taste" so "being half way decent at recognizing colour" means you're on the right path at least. :D

Thanks again for the reply!
