There are things that Quistis misses about being an instructor. The ability to choose her subjects, for instance, because she was a good instructor. The scheduling, because she was one of the few people who could operate well at any time of day. The way it taught her students, and her, new things almost daily.

A folder of old tests sits on her desk, found in a forgotten file drawer and marked with red ink. A ludicrous amount of red ink.

There are things she misses. Correcting tests for students who hadn't studied? She didn't miss that part at all.
