"Do you want a drop of this?"

Clef leaned back in the seat to regard Ferio dubiously. The bottle in his hand held a suspiciously liqueur-like liquid. "What is it?"

Ferio blinked. "What does it look like?"

"Alcohol. And 'a drop of this' means alcohol."

"Right." Ferio waved it at him. "So. You want a drop? In celebration?"

It was a whole day and a half since Cephiro had been restored, and Clef wasn't sure Ferio had slept in all that time - he certainly hadn't The buoyant joy at Cephiro's reversed destruction had carried him through half of it, but the difficult questions - like 'do we just set up houses anywhere we want?' and 'probably we should have some... roads? How do we decide where roads go?' had kept coming up.

"Mage," Clef said, raising an eyebrow at Ferio. If anyone should know what a high-powered mage should or shouldn't do, it was Ferio, given his sister. (Who had, if Clef remembered correctly, made her entire family's house and all the contents sparkly the one time she got tipsy.) "I don't really drink."

"You really think you have the energy to do even accidental magic right now?" Ferio asked, and -

He had a point.

"Well. I guess it is a special occasion," Clef said, and held out his glass. "Just a drop, though."

Ferio poured him a drink which was, probably, small enough he wouldn't have had an issue even as energised as he'd been the moment of the restoration. "To Cephiro," he said, holding his own cup out so they could clink them together.

"To Cephiro," Clef repeated, and the liqueur was sweet and sticky on his lips, a rare and welcome warmth in his chest.
