dreams of jam spread on toast as i wake up to the sound of you calling me for breakfast,
dreams of strawberries dipped into chocolate, offering one to you,
dreams of a cat between us, snoring, pawing at your thigh.

oh, i cannot begin to list all the things i wish for:
your true love's kiss,
your forehead pressed against my own,
your arms wrapped around my frame.

in our future,
there is a steady flow of money
and nights curled up together
and our cat sleeping in our bed
and jam in both our tongues
