US Politics: poetry: but hold me fast

  • Jul. 31st, 2020 at 7:35 PM
title: but hold me fast
fandom: us politics
medium: haiku (with illustrative video, but I didn't make the video)
content note: state-sanctioned violence against citizens

author's note: this is from before the federal withdrawal

(video source: 45thabsurdist on Twitter here. I couldn't figure out how to embed it here directly from Twitter, so I hosted a copy at Vimeo.)

video password: gas

street lamps smear and fade
distant as a poisoned moon
while klaxons blare: hold fast

second author's note: the title is from one or another versions of Tam Lin: but hold me fast and fear me not, part of the instructions for stealing your love back from the ones who took them.
