Zhao Yunlan starts to go after Shen Wei, angry and so scared of what Shen Wei might do to himself on his own.

He moves, one step, two—

A reflection of light catches his attention. There, on the floor—

A knife, the knife that Shen Wei dropped, one of his sharp ones that he'd brought over. He'd bled dark energy, but there are smudges of blood still on the blade, red splatter on the tiles.

Zhao Yunlan has been to countless murder scenes.

It's the thought of cleaning Shen Wei's blood from his own kitchen floor that makes him sick.
