Artist notes: Usually, I write fic. But this time around, the prompt of "stages" came out unexpectedly as a 1600x1200 wallpaper. Credits and notes below the cut.
Summary: Sigma has changed. Leo and Mio don't want to believe it.

Notes/credits: I took advantage of the fact that 19 was largely a flashback episode to examine the stages/life events that Sigma goes through to become the current villain of the series. The images were screencapped from the Over-Time hardsub of episode 19 (the series is in Japanese), and all dialogue appearing is theirs. I consciously made a choice to use the subtitles in the wallpaper, despite the fact that they don't scale as well, as I wanted to convey some of what was going on as Sigma feels more and more betrayed and starts seeing some people as expendable to save the world.

I also had to balance between the fact that the shots in Sigma's story tended to get darker as he went farther along his path with the fact that the images didn't show up very well without some adjustment to make them lighter. The images are staggered to suggest bricks in a pathway.
