Title: Horse and Carriage?
Fandom: Chalet School
Rating: G
Length: 1338 words
Content notes: Set right after chapter 1 of "The Chalet School Reunion".
Author notes: The title comes from the Frank Sinatra song, "Love and Marriage". Though they don't use the terms themselves (I don't think they'd actually have known them!), I'm picturing Rosalie as asexual and aromantic, and Peggy as bisexual.
Summary: “Rosalie, why is it you’ve never married?” (Jo Maynard, A Chalet School Reunion, Elinor Brent-Dyer).
Rosalie Dene and Peggy Burnett discuss marriage.

Title: How Family Should Behave
Fandom: Bleach.
Rating: T.
Length: 4,740!
Content notes: Warnings for depiction of hyperventilation, panic attacks, claustrophobia, mental torture, trauma, and self-injury.
Author notes: Written for Challenge #89, 'Family', as well as the 'Phobias' square on my [livejournal.com profile] hc_bingo card. Claustrophobia is not a fear I have, I actually find small spaces very comforting, but I do have mild arachnophobia, so I tried to imagine those same feelings applied to the situation. I think it worked? Maybe?
Summary: Everyone fears something, and Aizen knows exactly what every 'something' is when it comes to the espada. All it takes is a small mistake to get your worst fears turned in on you, and Grimmjow screws up more than most. - Grimmjow-centric, canon universe. No pairings.

Title: "Between Two Families"
Fandom: The Fox Woman (Kij Johnson)
Rating: PG-13
Length: 732 words
Content notes: Set immediately after the ending. References to past marital infidelity, historical customs (Heian era Japan) that might be construed as sexism
Author notes: I recently finished reading Kij Johson's exquisite fantasy novel "The Fox Woman", set in Heian-era Japan and based on several fox legends, in which a human falls in love with a fox who has transformed into a human. I loved the story, but it ended on a bit of a question mark, and so I thought I'd take a look at at one answer to that question. There's also a little bit of Akira Kurosawa's "Rashomon", since I have three different takes on the same events.
Summary: Kitsune leaves a sign to Yoshifuji; he makes his choice.

There’s always been a careful balance to the way Scott and Jean and Ororo work together, the way they love together. )
Title: Between Hope and Despair
