Photographer notes: I was lucky enough to go to the pre-opening party at the Libertines new hotel and bar in Margate on Friday night, so obviously I thought of this prompt!




The outside of the hotel. Up the steps to the front door you go into the hotel (or what will be), recording studio and the guest/resident artists bar (The Albion Rooms bar), and down the steps to the bottom right you get to what is (as of Saturday) the public bar (called The Waste Land).

Libertines mural on the wall of the Waste Land bar, or it will be - it was only assembled just before we arrived and it couldn't be lifted without more assistance than was on hand, so it's leaning against the wall for now.


The themes from upstairs are carried on in the Waste Land bar, though not quite to the same extent!
