"So, now you take the wheel and fit it on the axel, like this:" Long-fingered hands (still too smooth and un-callused to be what she expected) guided small, eager fingers in sliding the little wheel onto the axel-rod (precision-milled, she was sure, because now, again, Feänor could do that work, and why not, even for a child's toy?) Nerdanel had never dared hope for this day — not after the Darkening, the Doom, the grief that followed. But she had never entirely lost hope either. And now, see what that hope had given her!

"Nana! Nana! Look!" The wheel spun merrily.
