Summary: Hope and horror both in red and silver

Bead and wire necklace in red, opalescent, silver and silver-black

Feanor’s colors were red and silver, later apostrophized as gore and ghosts, blood and houseless spirits, rather than the fire of making, the substance of Arda becoming new, useful, wondrous things by application of that flame, skill and will. Lamps and banners, swords and graven stars.

The blood and ghosts were true as well, though never intended as symbol. Nor was the injury and death dealt on one side only. Reaved they are of works, of kin, of victory, of life: but the tale is not yet ended.

Hope too is red and silver, flame and starlight, sunrise after storm.
