Zhao Yunlan left without saying goodbye. Shen Wei tries not to read into it.

He bundles his students into the car for the drive back to Dragon City, Zhao Yunlan's jacket carefully wrapped and packed in his bag.

Days pass, and Zhao Yunlan doesn't call. He doesn't drop by to ask questions. No doubt Chief Zhao has important work to do; between the university and duties for Dixing, so does Shen Wei.

If those nights, in the privacy of his own room, he wraps the jacket around himself and remembers the warmth of Zhao Yunlan's hands on his shoulders... there's no one to begrudge him that comfort.
