Title: Webwork
Fandom: Original SF
Challenge: Hungry
Bingo prompt: ANY: The Other Side
Rating: G
Length: 100
Content notes: Possible disturbing imagery, but no actual spiders.
Author notes: Thanks go Morgynleri for encouragement & sanity-checking.
Summary: A trap? A path? Something entirely other?

It looked, if such a thing could be said to look like anything at all, like a four-dimensional spiderweb. What might be the spider at the bottom (top? any sense of ordinary Newtonian geometry or physics was vanquished only a step or two in the entrance-exit-opening-aperture.) Was it a trap? Steel lacework that seemed to warp, bend as one watched, luring one in, unconscious, unconsidered, inadvertent steps (were they steps? Was that actual ground, that ribbon of ethereality appearing to support the feet of wanderers-in?) Most puzzlingly, where did it lead, how had it gotten here? And was it hungry?
