Peter's not going to phone. He's not. He's had a lot of Carl's time lately, and it's 2am, Carl will be asleep.

He could leave a message. 'If you're awake, call me. I just want to hear your voice.' But Carl might be out. It'll be noisy, and Peter doesn't want to hear laughter and music. He just wants to hear Carl, wants to feel the connection only they have.

Anyway, Carl always knows when Peter needs him. If he hasn't called, he's busy.

So sleep. He puts the phone down and turns over.

Seconds later, the screen lights up.
