"Johnny, what are you doing?"

"Going over there." He pointed across the gap between the buildings.

"Why?"

Johnny frowned. "That's how I'm going to get to the people who need to get out."

"We can wait for the ladder truck."

"That'll take too long. I'm going over."

"It's a six foot gap. You'll never make it."

"I'll be fine. I've done it before." He took off his hat and tossed it to Roy. "Hold that for me."

Roy rolled his eyes and sighed. "John- this is a bad idea. I think you should wait."

"See you on the other side."
