"Sweetie, you have to get back up and try again," she told him, reaching across the table to rest a hand over his.

He looked up at her briefly. "Sure, but how?"

"There, you're on your own. You just have to do it."

"But what if I can't?" he asked, eyes pleading.

"You can," she said firmly. "I know you can."

Mike shook his head. "I don't know. I can't sleep. It's all I think about."

"Then I think you need to start thinking about something else," Donna told him firmly like before, but gently.

"Donna..."

"You know I'm right."
