Personal Log - Cadet Sylvia Tilly:

Science is SO cool! No, it's like REALLY cool. I probably sound like a big geek, but I love this stuff. The spore network is amazing and we are learning more and more about it every day. Stamets may be a little annoyed by my enthusiasm, but I can't help it! This is what I signed up for. Exploring and learning and, one day, being captain of a starship. I have a plan. And I'm going to get there. No one can stop me. Okay, sure, someone probably can, but I'm going to do my damnedest not to let them.


Personal Log - Cadet Sylvia Tilly:

Okay, so there's something I've been trying to figure out. What the heck is up with the captain's eyes? I'm way too nervous to talk to him directly - he's kind of freaking intimidating. I've heard it's something about his previous command and what happened there, but it's all really vague. I know he sits in the mostly-dark a lot and that sudden changes in light bother him. This is a thing I've never heard of before - and it doesn't make him any less intimidating. I think if something like that happened to me though, I'd want to get it fixed. Maybe that's just me.


Personal Log - Cadet Sylvia Tilly:

Of course. They give me a roommate - which is super awesome, because I always wanted one - but they give me a roommate who is the mutineer. Why? Why would they do that? What are they trying to tell me? I know this wasn't the only room available. And I have allergies, so they had told me I couldn't have a roommate. So - what is this about anyway? Really though, she's fine. Way quiet and keeps to herself. Which is kind of the opposite of what I wanted in a roommate. Though, I probably do enough talking for both of us - people have told me that. Maybe she just needs time to open up.
