Mass Effect: fanfic: Mothers Never Change

  • Jun. 12th, 2013 at 6:02 PM
Title: Mothers Never Change
Fandom: Mass Effect
Rating: G
Length: 100 words
Summary: A motherly guilt trip.

“I don’t understand why you’re so stubborn.”

“Leave it, Ma. It’s not going to happen.”

“You and Kaidan are so good together. Why don’t you want kids?”

“Because I don’t. Kids are expensive. They’re smelly, and inevitably sticky. What would we do with one anyway? Strap it to my back while I go out to save the galaxy?”

“But what’s going to keep you two together down the road?”

“I don’t know. Maybe our deep abiding love for each other?”

“Exactly! You have so much love to give!”

“Then I’ll give it to you, Mom.”

“I love you too, Jane.”
