Most of the time Kamala liked being part of a team. It was awesome to be a part of a group of people who would have your back in a fight. Being surrounded by a team you could trust rocked. With a team, if you got knocked down you had people to help you get back up.

Kamala loved being a part of the Champions. Mostly they kept their true identities a secret, some of them; when they could. Kamala tried. She didn't really need everyone knowing who she really was under her Ms. Marvel getup. Life was complicated. She was still in high school. She had a curfew. It didn't mean she trusted her teammates any less. The team became your home away from home; your family. It was hard not to grow close when you went through so many life or death situations together, even when you only knew their superhero name.

There was a downside to the whole team thing, of course, wasn't there always? The thing was, with a team you tend to get attached to the other members of your group, when they weren't being idiots. Maybe even when they were being idiots. That was a problem because eventually, they would leave. Nothing lasted forever. Her own team had gone through so many shake-ups lately it was getting hard to keep track. Not only had she had to say goodbye to multiple teammates, but then she had to get to know and trust new ones. It was hard. Of course, some teams sucked and you had to be the one to leave. She'd both been there, and done that. No wonder so many of the older heroes were always so cranky. It was almost enough to make her want to stick to solo gigs. Almost.
