Summary: Emeraude-hime is just holding on to her duties - whichever way that sentence is read.


Spider-lily/Lycoris Radiata/Higanbana has a whole set of legends and ideas about death and doomed love attached to it in Japan, and it's used at funerals, and just seemed fitting as a thing for Emeraude to be holding onto - tighter than she's managing to hold onto her circlet, though she hasn't dropped it yet...

I was going to go for 'let's practice hands and see if we can get something done in under an hour!' then realised I was going to be drawing THAT FLOWER and all hope was lost. Even though I've hidden most of it behind her. XD Staring at pictures trying to work out how they WORK took too long~

(The title's because 'just holding on' has a double meaning which works pretty well here? She's only just holding on - and she's just holding on, not able to do anything else...) (The blue isn't quite that startling in real life and the shading's softer - less pencil-marks? But I could get no closer in Gimp. ^^; For pencil, it's actually not scanned too badly...)
