Summary: Carl knows that it's the end of the world. The only reason he keeps going is so that maybe things will change for his little sister.

It's the end of the world, but it's always been that way for as long as Carl can remember.

His father and Daryl try to tell him that the world is changing, that things will improve, but he knows better. He knows that the world will never stop ending, at least not before he dies.

Maybe things will be different for Judy. He hopes so. She's the reason that he doesn't give up, the reason that he keeps fighting against the dead things, against those who make the world worse, rather than better.

She's the reason he refuses to die.
