Summary: Methos and the Tardis have an understanding




Methos and the Tardis have an understanding: Neither of them will ‘fry the other’s circuits’. Which means, practically, that Methos will make sure his Quickening stays inside him (and no shenanigans with other Immortals of his kind), and the Tardis will refrain from poking him with either artron energy or the Eye of Harmony unless it's a real emergency. Except for the translation thing. And the door thing. No guarantees about the corridor mapping though. Except the library. Methos can always find the library, no matter where the Tardis puts it. And the wardrobe for some inexplicable reason, whether he wants it or not. Sometimes there is a salle to practice sword-forms in, and sometimes there isn't. Sometimes Methos will talk to the walls, telling tales of long ago and far away, just for the telling, not because he wants to return to any of those places, those times, and he certainly does not wish to confront the person he was then. He knows the Tardis listens; she understands the long way round, even when the Doctor (often) doesn't.

He'd never heard the Cloister Bell before, but he recognizes it for the portent of doom it is when he does.
