He had once enjoyed walking into any community's training hall and being recognized as top dog. His glowing eyes would grab attention as people noticed an ex-SOLDIER, with all sorts of questions soon flying his way. Some, with mocking tone, questioned his superiority, but he snapped out answers and schooled those losers--he'd earned his elite status.

Now, Cloud snorted to remember the poor teacher he'd been, caring only that he had the answer, not that others got it. This time needed to be different. At least he'd already learned to ditch the ego… mostly.
